Description of service provision

If you require measuring instrument calibration, verification or measuring services, feel free to contact Metrosert’s customer service. We will help you choose the right service and its scope, introduce the terms and conditions to you and make you an offer. In performing the work, we comply with the general terms and conditions of metrology and the Estonian Assay Office. (Please also take a look at the FAQ.)

HOW AND WHERE SHOULD YOU BRING MEASURING INSTRUMENTS OR OBJECTS TO BE MEASURED?

Measuring instruments can be brought to our customer service offices in Tallinn, Tartu or Jõhvi, or sent by courier. Please make sure that the measuring instruments are delivered together with the contact person’s details and, if possible, a more detailed description of the desired service (or send us an explanation by e-mail). In the transportation of measuring instruments, the manufacturer’s handling recommendations must be taken into account.

If it is not possible or reasonable to move the measuring instrument, we will find a way to calibrate/verify the measuring instrument at your location.

In Tallinn, measuring instruments can be handed over and received anytime via parcel machine in our office, however, it is necessary to coordinate the request with customer service in advance.

DEADLINES AND PAYMENT

As a rule, the term for the fulfilment of a calibration/verification order is five working days. If finishing of work takes longer, the customer’s representative is notified of that at the earliest opportunity. If possible, we fulfil orders faster and notify the customer’s representative when the job is done.

Services are paid for on the basis of the invoice presented after the performance of the work according to the price list or price offer.

CALIBRATION AND VERIFICATION CERTIFICATES

As a result of calibration, we issue a calibration certificate and, if possible, affix an information sticker with the number and date of the certificate to the measuring instrument.

In the case of verification, we affix the compulsory verification marks to the measuring instrument and, if desired, issue a verification certificate.

You can choose to receive the issued certificate either electronically with Metrosert’s digital seal or on paper. We can send an electronic certificate to you by e-mail or upload it to the measuring instrument information system MÕIS from where the documents are available at any time.

We will answer your inquiry as soon as possible.
