Commissioned by the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Communications, Metrosert is developing both existing and new national measurement standards. New national measurement standards are developed on the basis of national development plans, priorities and needs of Estonian companies and institutions.
Metrosert is currently developing new national measurement standards in three fields: electrical power, time and frequency, and optical quantities. In developing the national measurement standards, Metrosert cooperates internationally with the national metrology institutes of other European countries.
