Development of novel rational applications for food industry by-products/wastes using biorefining methods to create postbiotics to support human health.

The project aims to design novel functional postbiotic products that value local resources and target different population groups, using biorefining and combining new functional properties of deposited/patented lactic acid bacteria and bifidobacteria candidate strains from the BioCC OÜ microbial culture collection and food industry by-products.

In addition, an in-house method for determining postbiotics as a service will be developed.
