We are pleased to introduce an upgraded calibration capability for thread gauges, expanding the depth of analysis and providing more comprehensive results.
We have introduced advanced contour scanning alongside traditional three-wire and two-ball measurement techniques. High-precision scanning is now available for thread gauges up to 90 mm (external) and 100 mm (internal) diameters. Key benefits:
- Full thread profile evaluation. Instead of evaluating only the pitch diameter, contour scanning captures the entire thread geometry.
- Virtual Pitch Diameter determination. Our new capability enables calculation of the virtual pitch diameter (functional diameter), providing a more functionally relevant characteristic than the simple pitch diameter.
- Functional fit assurance. The virtual pitch diameter accounts for pitch and flank angle deviations, giving a more representative indication of the thread’s mating behavior and functional fit.
- All critical parameters measured. Including major and minor diameters, pitch, flank angles, form deviations, and more.
- Improved insight into wear and form errors. Supports better decision-making regarding gauge usability and lifecycle.
Contour scanning provides a more comprehensive and informative calibration result. This supports higher confidence in your measurement processes, reduces production risks, and ensures compliance with the quality requirements.
