Calibration and verification
Reliable measurement results are ensured by metrological inspections of measuring instruments – calibration or verification at Metrosert.

CALIBRATION
Metrosert calibrates instruments for measuring voltage, current, electrical resistance, impedance, capacitance, inductance, power, electrical energy, alternating voltage and current frequency.
Metrosert’s electrical power calibration capability has also been approved as the Estonian reference standard.
Common measuring instruments that we calibrate:
- Direct voltage and current calibrators
- Alternating voltage and current calibrators
- Direct and alternating current voltmeters and ammeters (including split core type current transformers)
- Multimeters
- Resistance coils and magazines
- Ohmmeters
- Electrical installation parameter meters
- ESD testers, spark testers
- Wattmeters
- Power supply units
- Capacitance and impedance measures and meters
- Electrical conductivity standards
MEASUREMENTS
Metrosert provides the measurement of various electrical parameters, such as voltage, power, electrical energy quality, etc.
We measure the electrical conductivity of metals in the measuring range of (1 to 60) MS/m at operating frequencies of 60/120/240/480 kHz at the measurement uncertainty of <1,4%.
TRACEABILITY
The traceability of the measurement of electrical quantities:
- Direct voltage measurements are traceable to the direct voltage measurement standard of the Estonian National Measurement Standard Laboratory.
- Resistance measurements are traceable to the resistance measurement standard of the Estonian National Measurement Standard Laboratory.
- Direct and alternating current ratio measurements are traceable to the measurement standards of the Swedish National Testing and Research Institute (RISE).
CALIBRATION OF MEASUREMENT INSTRUMENTS OF ELECTRIC QUANTITIES AT THE NATIONAL MEASUREMENT STANDARD LABORAORY
The national electric quantity measurement standard laboratory calibrates:
Direct voltage measuring instruments in the range of 10 mV to 1 kV with a relative expanded measurement uncertainty of (1 to 20)·10-6.
Resistance measuring instruments in the range of 1 mΩ to 10 kΩ with a relative measurement uncertainty of (1 to 5)·10-6.
