On 18 February, we participated in Delta Career Day, the largest career event of the University of Tartu, which brought together companies, public institutions and students.
Metrosert was represented by our Head of People and Culture, Helina Pajussaar, and HR Specialist Berit Pärt. They introduced internship and career opportunities at Metrosert and explained the types of projects we work on in our daily activities. They also answered students’ questions and provided an overview of everyday work in applied research and metrology (the science of measurement).
At the fair, our former health data intern Hedvig, who completed her internship with Metrosert last year and is currently studying Mathematical Statistics at the University of Tartu, shared her experience and impressions with prospective applicants.
Delta Career Day is organised by the Institute of Computer Science, the Institute of Mathematics and Statistics, the School of Economics and Business Administration and the Institute of Technology at the University of Tartu. The event took place at the University of Tartu Academic Sports Club and provided companies with the opportunity to meet students in IT, mathematics, statistics, computer engineering, robotics and economics, and to present their internship and career opportunities.
Metrosert values the development of future talent. We offer internship opportunities for university students, organise laboratory visits for pupils and students, and are one of the initiators of the Lae End education programme.
