From January 6–9, Estonia participated in the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, one of the world’s largest and most influential technology events. Represented at the joint Estonia-Finland stand, FINEST, Estonian participants showcased regional technological solutions and established strategic contacts with US and international partners.
The FINEST joint stand hosted 30 companies specializing in smart mobility and related sectors, including eight representatives from Estonia. Among the Estonian participants were members of the Estonian Association of Information Technology and Telecommunications (ITL), Metrosert, e-Pavement, Rethink, Nortal, and Bolt, as well as 1oT, Artec Design, Rollo Robotics, and Primostar. The exhibition focused on developments in smart mobility and digital solutions, highlighting innovative applications for digital infrastructure.
Metrosert was represented at the event by Andres Mellik, Programme Manager of the Estonian Chip Center, who held meetings with industry leaders including NVIDIA, Synopsys, Cadence, and Intel. The primary objective of these meetings was to define cooperation opportunities in the development of data centers and secure chips. The discussions focused on identifying specific sub-sectors that offer the greatest value for the Estonian industry and startup ecosystem. In addition to strengthening existing partnerships, future milestones were established, with project-based technical discussions set to continue in February 2026.
Kristjan Prikk, the Estonian Ambassador to the United States, emphasized Estonia’s role as a leading digital nation and innovator. He noted that CES serves as a critical platform for building partnerships and securing relationships with US investors.
According to Jana Silaškova, Head of Internationalisation at ITL, the US and global markets hold significant potential for Estonian companies, particularly in the fields of autonomous systems, digital transformation, and future-proof infrastructure.
CES remains a premier global technology platform. Following last year’s attendance of over 140,000 visitors and 3,500 exhibitors, participation levels this year are expected to be even higher. For the Estonian Chip Center and its partners, the joint stand provides essential international visibility and creates a foundation for deepening science-based cooperation in global markets.
The participation of Estonian and Finnish companies was co-funded by the European Union Interreg Central Baltic programme with the support of the Estonian Business and Innovation Agency.
