Starting from July 1, the registration of sponsor’s marks for precious metal products will be carried out entirely electronically via the information system of the Consumer Protection and Technical Regulatory Authority (TTJA).
The legislative amendment leads to the digitalization of the register, which simplifies and speeds up the process while significantly reducing the administrative burden on businesses. Additionally, the validity period of a sponsor’s mark registration will be extended from one year to ten years, and the registration can be renewed in ten-year increments.
Under the new system, there is no longer a need to submit a paper image of the sponsor’s mark or physical metal plate samples, which is a significant simplification for manufacturers and importers of precious metal products.
If you are a manufacturer or importer of precious metal products, please submit your sponsor’s mark registration, amendment, or renewal application directly to TTJA: info@ttja.ee
The sponsor’s mark register is still available here: www.proovikoda.ee/register
