Boost Your Sustainability – Metrosert Recommends EMAS Support

In mid-April, the Environmental Investment Centre (KIK) opened a new application round under the Circular Economy Programme, offering funding for organisations seeking EMAS environmental management system certification. The total budget for the call is €100,000, with individual project grants ranging from €3,000 to €20,000.

“Today, it’s clear that not only the European Union, but also organisations themselves increasingly value environmentally responsible thinking,” said Evelin Kurmiste, Head of the Certification Division at Metrosert. “EMAS provides a structured framework for implementing sustainability and establishing a compliant environmental management system. This new funding opportunity under the Circular Economy Programme is a great chance for organisations to take that step.”

Metrosert has over 20 years of experience in the certification field and offers professional support throughout the entire process. “Now is the right time to focus on sustainability and adopt internationally recognised environmental systems — Metrosert is here to support you!” Kurmiste added.

Eligible applicants include companies, non-profit organisations, foundations, legal persons governed by public law, and sole proprietors. Applications can be submitted via the e-grants environment until the allocated budget is depleted.

EMAS (Eco-Management and Audit Scheme) is the European Union’s environmental management and audit tool, helping organisations monitor, reduce, and prevent the environmental impact of their operations — ultimately enhancing their competitiveness.
