On Tuesday, 14 January, the Estonian Minister of Regional Affairs and Agriculture, Piret Hartman, visited Metrosert together with ministry officials. The aim of the short visit was to take a closer look at the company’s biorefining business, which has attracted attention for its innovative approaches.
The Minister and her entourage were received by Kaupo Reede, Head of Metrosert Biorefining, and Indrek Tulp, Member of the Metrosert Board and Head of the Applied Research Center.
Kaupo Reede gave the minister an overview of Metrosert’s activities in the field of biorefining. Indrek Tulp, in turn, presented the role of the Applied Research Center as a bridge between industry and research institutions.
Minister Piret Hartman concluded that Metrosert is doing something very important for Estonia. She expressed great interest in the different aspects of biorefining and encouraged Metrosert to raise awareness among farmers on the subject.
