Specialists from the Drone Technology Division of Metrosert’s Applied Research Centre took part in Hedgehog 25, the largest defence exercise of the year, which brought together more than 16,000 participants from 14 countries.
The international exercise, organised by the Estonian Defence Forces, included nearly 40 drone teams. It was one of the largest exercises in the region, focused on practicing modern and future-oriented solutions and fostering the exchange of experience among allied units.
Metrosert’s drone technology experts had the opportunity to explore the unique DELTA battlefield integration platform and to see firsthand how international cooperation and combat experience are driving rapid innovation.
“These kinds of practical experiences give us valuable input for bringing the latest knowledge into the development of new technologies and for shaping future research and development programmes,” said Rainer Kivimäe, Head of Drone Technologies at Metrosert.

We would like to thank the organisers and all participants for the inspiring cooperation and knowledge sharing — experiences like these move the entire field forward!
