In February, Rainer Kivimäe, head of drone technologies division at Metrosert, visited RISE and RanLOS in Sweden for discussions and hands-on demonstrations of electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) labs and innovative vehicle antenna test solutions.
The visit brought together representatives from Metrosert, Frankonia, RanLOS, Provinn and RISE (Research Institutes of Sweden).
The first day of the visit focused on introducing RISE’s EMC laboratories in Borås and discussing testing challenges and opportunities. On the second day, RanLOS demonstrated its antenna testing solution that makes wireless communications testing more efficient and flexible compared to traditional methods. RanLOS offers measurement systems for testing antenna systems and connectivity (4G, 5G, Wi-Fi and V2X) and is aimed at testing vehicles, base stations and other connected devices.
Rainer Kivimäe found the visit valuable: “It was an excellent opportunity to familiarize ourselves with RISE’s EMC labs and RanLOS solutions. We look forward to further cooperation opportunities between Metrosert, RISE, RanLOS, Frankonia and Provinn”.
“We appreciate the opportunity to meet and discuss measurement methods and needs. We look forward to continuing these discussions,” said Lars Granbom, CEO of RanLOS.
Metrosert continues to actively engage in international cooperation to bring Estonian R&D and applied research to a new level and to provide quality solutions in the field of measurement and certification.
