Metrosert makes significant technological leap in force measurement

The Tallinn laboratory of Metrosert’s Metrology Division has taken a major step forward in improving the accuracy of force measurement. The laboratory has undergone a major upgrade, resulting in two state-of-the-art testing machines now in operation.

The larger 500 kN capacity testing machine has been extensively refurbished. The machine is equipped with a new hydraulic system, force sensor and control module, ensuring even greater precision and efficiency in its operation. In addition, a brand new 200 kN testing machine has been introduced, designed by Metrosert and developed in close collaboration with local and German engineering companies.

The upgraded equipment enables Metrosert to offer even more accurate calibration and verification services. The 500 kN machine is designed to calibrate dynamometers, force sensors and crane scales that operate in both compression and tension. The 200 kN machine is specifically designed to calibrate and verify axle and wheel load scales but is also suitable for testing other compression-based measuring instruments or tools.

This technological leap takes Metrosert’s force measurement capabilities to a new level, enabling them to provide customers with even more accurate and reliable measurement results.
